EPI Trainig, Ergonomics and Posture at Palettes Services: Safety first

Review of the training sessions organized by Palettes Services

Continuous training is a key focus skills development and risk prevention in the workplace. In this spirit, Palettes Services organized two key training sessions at the beginning of February 2025 : 

  • The first response team member (EPI) training, which took place on Wednesday, February 5th
  • The training on body mechanics and ergonomics, help on Monday, February 3rd

Epi Training: Essential Preparation for Emergency Situations

The first reponse team member training aims to prepare employees to respond effectively in the event of a fire or emergency situation. Guided by expert fire safety trainers, participants learned to identify different types of fires, operate fire extinguishers, and adopt the correct procedures during an evacuation.

Through realistic simulations, this training helped strengthen employees preparedness for incidents that may occur in the workplace. The goal is to ensure better responsiveness and minimize risks to personnel and infrastucture.

Body Mechanics and Ergonomics Training : Preventing Musculoskeletal Disorders

On Monday, February 3rd, employees also had the opportunity to attend a training session on body mechanics and ergonomics.The session aimed to raise awareness among staff about best practices to prevent musculoskeletal disorders ( MSDs) and reduce the risk of injuries related to manual handling or poor posture.

During this training, participants learned how to adjust their posture according to their professional activity and how to properly use the ergonomic equipment provided to them. Practical exercises were conducted to better understand the impact of repetitive movements on the body and to adopt the correct techniques to preserve their health.
